Data Analysis
In consultation with external experts supporting the study and the European Commission, work will focus on the identification and collection of necessary statistical data from reliable information sources about the (1) demand and (2) supply of e-skills in all 27 EU Member. Work will be based on existing statistical sources. For the oversees countries the study will make intensive use of experts from the empirica European Network of National Correspondents with subcontracted experts in the selected countries under review (cf. above) to achieve its objectives.
An analysis of the demand and supply side data from the sources identified will be carried out and reported about in a synthesis report. This synthesis report on “the evolution of the supply and demand of e-skills in Europe” will also reflect the current policy debate on this issue in Europe and the further non-European countries covered. Expert interviews will be conducted for the support of the identification of sources, the validation of results and in order to obtain relevant information on the current policy debate in Europe. A set of indicators for use in a regular e-skills demand and supply monitoring exercise and observatory will be developed. Finally, recommendations for the improvement of statistical data collection and market surveys as well as for the improvement of the dialogue between stakeholders will be developed.
